Default Vent/Teamspeak integration

There ought to be a better integration with voice chat to encourage its usage. I find sometimes I end up interrupting people because I cannot have GW open with the Teamspeak window also open. The teamspeak window has the indicator for when someone is speaking

If we could have this same kind of indicator to the left of the team members' names it would REALLY help in competitive areas, missions, GvG, and elite missions.

There's always Teamspeak Overlay for Teamspeak, or VoiceOverlay for both Vent and Teamspeak. Personal preference which to use if any, but TSO seems more stable as I got GW to crash on me once when I exited VoiceOverlay before closing GW. This normally isn't a problem though, since it's so small anyway so now I just leave it open (since my guild decided to put up a Vent-server instead of a TS one).

Other than that, yeah something similar would indeed be interresting. The problem would be figuring out which char belongs to which player.

/half signed. If there's a good solution for that, then yay. If not, then I believe the devs have other things to spend their time on, like that weapon mod upgrader we got promised about.

I, too, half sign this

Your idea is excelent, think.

I think that there are other features like in-game off-line messaging, a social chat channel, a guilds' information board for players, a guild join request feature, a better guild's members information board, ... and, then, a better voice communication integration.

P.S.: Joh thank you for the information you give ^^

This has been suggested before, several times.

But /notsigned

Although a good idea, Anet running their own Voice Chat system would substantially increase lag, even for thos enot using it. And then if you are suggesting that they program GW to look to see if you have TS or Vent running, then look to see whos on, then somehow figure out if they are in your party, then tell u when they are talking, well thats just damn near impossible.
